What is Autogiro?

Autogiro a Swedish direct debit system, operated by Bankgirot. It allows businesses to automatically withdraw payments from a customer's bank account on a recurring basis, once the customer has given their consent (called a mandate).

How It Works

1. The customer signs a mandate — The customer authorizes you to withdraw money from their bank account. This is done through a digital signing flow where the customer selects their bank, chooses an account, and signs with BankID.
2. You initiate payments against the mandate — Once the mandate is active, you can charge the customer's bank account without any further interaction from them.
