4. Build your report

2 minute read

At this point, we’ve structured the allocations to fit your domain logic. You now have all the necessary data grouped per recipient, with relevant amounts and any additional metadata.

From here, it’s straightforward to generate the report in whatever format you need—whether that’s a downloadable PDF, a CSV export for accounting, or a digital report embedded in your website or back office system.

The key advantage of this approach is flexibility: since the data is structured and sourced from the API, you can adapt the format, fields, and presentation as your reporting needs evolve.

Be creative

Allocations can be used for much more than standard disbursement reports. Once the data is structured, you can generate a variety of insightful summaries. For example:

  • Daily allocation summaries: Show how much was paid out each day and to whom.
  • Tag-based reports: Group allocations using tags like business unit or region to break down activity across different areas of your organization.
  • Fee overview reports: Aggregate tenant fees across all disbursements to support internal accounting or invoicing.

These reports can support various needs across finance, operations, or external reporting, and can be generated automatically as part of your regular workflows.
